Liam smiled softly, gaze lingering on Marley for a moment longer than necessary. "I'm not surprised it's still your favorite." It was something that he loved about her back then and still did, a new realization for him. A light laugh spilled over his lips as he smiled at her. "Saying goodbye never gets easier, huh?" He swallowed hard, knowing he never said goodbye to her. "You're the reason those kids even feel brave enough to be there in the first place, you know that?" Liam assured her with sincerity lacing his words. Hearing as she spoke of her work at Next Gen, he felt something inside him stir. Was it pride? He couldn't tell. "She's lucky to have someone like you in her corner." Liam told her, meaning every word. "It's been good, I've got a steady stream of clients at the gym and making lots of new friends being a bartender. I know the two don't really go hand in hand, but I've loved it for that reason alone." @marleyxmadden
“So do I. It’s always been my favorite place.” She told him and smiled as he nudged her. He was what made it her favorite place and being back there with him now was crazy to her. “Good. School is almost over so the glee club is saying goodbye to the seniors leaving. It’s always the worst part of the year.” She told him. “Then at Next Gen, I’ve gotten a few more patients. There’s this teen that’s been coming there that reminds me of myself when I was her age. It’s… been interesting.” She swallowed. “What about you?” @liamxadair

location: their shared apartment
"Hey, Pheebs," he grinned, stepping into the apartment after getting off his shift at Mad Monk Brewing. "I don't know if you like beer or not," he started, placing a six pack on the table, "but they were getting rid of some stuff that is close to expiring," he started, shrugging out of his jacket and draping it over the back of the table chair, "that I got to take home, you're welcome to it." He told her before walking towards her, "Did you eat yet? I was thinking of ordering a pizza in and starting a new show to binge."

location: downtown kismet harbor
Liam had been back in town roughly a week but between starting two new jobs and unpacking into his new two bedroom apartment, his social interactions had been limited. However, it seemed that the Founder's Festival was the perfect opportunity to run into people, but he wasn't going to have any expectations on the manner. First things first, was getting a bite to eat. He had always loved food trucks and while he experienced plenty in his years in Arizona and North Carolina, something about the food trucks at Founder's Festival felt like home to him. Liam walked through the crowd, wondering who he might run into.

Liam's smile grew to match the woman's, "Great." The man enjoyed giving out compliments. It came as a part of the personal trainer in him, knowing that most people thrived on a supportive and positive environment. "Getting into the routine can be the hardest part, you either have to be accountable for your own actions or have someone that helps you be accountable," Liam went on, taking a sip of his drink, "I think that's the part of having a personal trainer that people like, that they're not only at risk of disappointing themselves, but me too." @blairehamilton
blaire felt her cheeks heat up at his compliment, nodding as she took a sip of her drink. " no, no, not a bit much, that's okay. i like the compliments, " she gave a wink as she grinned widely. maybe she was a bit of an attention seeker at times-- which made sense that she'd chosen a career where people watched her. " yeah, i think i just need to have some kind of routine. especially to help myself actually get out and do things. " she shrugged. the club had been a good start, but she couldn't just do that all the time.

"Phew," Liam wiped the sweat from his brow, "are you sure you aren't a personal trainer?" He teased Josiah as he put the weights back, "You gave me a run for my money out there." Liam joked with the man as he wiped down the bench they were at. "Hell of a work out," he continued on, a smile resting easily on his lips. "I think that means we've earned something to eat after this. Nourish Bistro?" He questioned as a suggestion, though the man was rarely opposed to something else after a work out. It's not like Liam wasn't active enough to negate adding a few more calories into a meal.

Liam had been working most of the weekends at Mad Monk Brewing. It wasn't a job that he needed but rather one that he enjoyed. If often felt like it negated the personal trainer job that he did for his actual career, but he felt that it was a good trade off. Wiping down the bar top, Liam looked around as the brewery slowed down after the slight rush of people that they had. Someone had just sat down at the bar as Liam tossed the rag into the bucket they kept under the bar to be washed. "Hey," he brought the man a coaster, "what can I get for you? Anything you want to try, I can do that, too."

Liam was wiping down the bar top, the damp cloth sliding across the residual liquid left from sweating glasses. He had just tossed it into the dirty basket beneath the bar when he caught someone sitting down from the corner of his eye. Liam immediately went into bartender mode. "Hey there, what can -" he trailed off, setting a napkin down in front of the person. "Verity Wagner," he grinned, "What brings you out to my neck of the woods?" He joked, considering they were both bartenders. "What can I get you?"

"If only I could convince the manager to fire him for that," Liam said with a shake of his head. "I mean, if it was a gym member that did that," he fell short for a moment, "now that would be a hell of a move. He'd be taking use of the facilities to a whole new level because he would have gone into the employee only area and then made it smell that bad? That's a ballsy move if you ask me." His lips parted into a chuckle, "I'm with you there. I have never been a fan of anything tuna." @phoebecarver
She scrunched up her nose at the thought of microwaved tuna. “That’s disgusting. I would’ve banned him for life.” She commented. The real conversation not happening inside her head was a welcome change. It helped drown out everything else for a moment. “Even those tuna bake stuff should be illegal. Like why do that to tuna? It’s disgusting.” @liamxadair

location: kismet harbor library
Liam had been trying to find some new activities to do with his time and when he heard about Shelfie Squad at Kismet Harbor Library, he decided to check it out. He was off from both being a personal trainer and bartender. "Hey," he walked up to the first person he saw that resembled someone over the age of eighteen. "I'm one of the new volunteers, tonight." Liam told her, "I'm Liam." He introduced himself, holding out his hand to the blonde.

"Shit, it's been so long since I've done this," he wiped his hands together to get some of the excess chalk off of his hands. "They really spruced this place up since I've last seen it." Rapple Raiders was around when he was living in Kismet Harbor, but it had been eighteen years since he had stepped foot in it. "You come here often or you just indulging my need to be a little adventurous and my lack of tolerance for the weather today?"

kismet harbor's 100th annual winter festival - snow tubing
Liam switched the tube to the other side of his arm as he and Aliye began their trek up the hill with fake snow, "I haven't done this in so long," he told Aliye. He had not done anything like this while he lived elsewhere and thus, it had been over eighteen years since doing this. "I was thinking after I kick your ass in this race, best two out of three if you will," he flashed his best friend a grin, "we can get a bite to eat. I've been dying to try the taco food truck."

Liam's smile faltered only for a moment at her question. He tilted his head though, as he mulled over the words that he was going to say to Marley. "Isn't it obvious?" It wasn't that he didn't know what to say, but rather how to word it, at first. "You didn't let them turn you into something you're not. You didn't settle for that picture-perfect life they tried to force on you." He leaned forward, resting his chin in his hand, "And I know that wasn't easy, but you chose you and that takes guts." It wasn't something that everyone could say they did. "So yeah, I'm proud of you." @marleyxmadden
END.
“I can imagine there’s not.” She smiled back at him. God, the teasing with him and smiling around him made her happier than she could’ve ever imagined. It was all she ever wanted for the two of them and while it was hard at first when he showed up back in town, she felt like it was getting easier slowly. Her face fell, though, as he said that he didn’t have to pretend around him and she played with her glass for a moment. “I know.” She spoke softly and looked back up at him. “I’m sure they did. Church going, no drinking, I’d be in this too tight dress that my mom loved me in and would yell at me when they didn’t fit.” She swallowed and shook her head. “Kids as far as the eye could see and being the perfect wife. I think that sums it up.” She took a drink and as she put it down, he forced out a laugh before saying that he was proud of her. Her eyebrows creased and she looked at him with a confused expression. “Proud of me? Why?” @liamxadair

Going out on a date was not something he really wanted to do, but ultimately he knew that his run ins with Marley had stirred up some old feelings and he wasn't sure that he wanted to go down that path. Not because he didn't want but because he knew that she wouldn't want to do this again with him. So, dating apps it was. Liam opted to take the blonde he matched with to the local steakhouse. He was waiting outside, arms loosely crossed over his chest until he spotted her. "Verity, right?"

Since coming back to Kismet Harbor, Liam had been looking for ways to stay busy. Since running into Marley again right after he moved back, he had not been able to get her off his mind. So, he went and got a roommate. Started getting in touch with old friends and even leaving the apartment for trivia night. "Hey," Liam walked up to a table where someone had just sat down. "You have anyone on your team? Or need an extra person?"

When Liam was told that he was signing his lease the weekend before Founder's Festival, he didn't think anything of it. It had been years since he had been in Kismet Harbor. Many years. Leaving right after high school graduation had not been a decision he thought he'd ever make but the heartbreak had been too much and he had not been back since. He really didn't think there was anything left for him in Kismet Harbor until he spent the last year trying to get over the last woman he was in love with. So far he was zero for two on getting over women that he was in love with. Luckily, with the number of years that had passed, Liam did not seem to gather much hatred from most people and found himself greeting another as he walked into the area where all the food trucks were. "Hell yeah, man," he grinned, giving him a hug, "I'm back for good."

"Now that's really making it last if you are eating the layers over a few days," he grinned at her before laughing, "Yeah, you're so right. I like a variety so getting stuck eating a candy bar that big?" Liam shook his head with the thought, "Honestly, it wouldn't take me all that long to get sick of it, which is not a good thing if, you know, I'm stranded on an island," he laughed once more. "Who is the one person you'd take with you, or rather, the one person you could be stranded with?" @bridgetxjames
She laughed a little, liking the way this was going already. "Definitely something with layers. You can take a bite of each layer every few days and savor it." She agreed with him. "Could do something like one of those huge Christmas candy bars they sell during that time. That'd last a bit. By the time you're rescued, though, you may be sick if that candy." @liamxadair
